Manolo Sánchez, president and CEO of BBVA Compass, will be the featured speaker at the Leader-to-Leader Breakfast Series Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, in the Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Center’s Reynolds-Kirschbaum Recital Hall, 1200 10th Ave. South. The event, sponsored by the UAB Collat School of Business, begins with a networking breakfast at 7 a.m. Sánchez will begin his lecture at 7:30 a.m.
Sánchez, a graduate of Yale University, has worked for BBVA for nearly 25 years and has served as president and CEO since 2008. He was named Alabama Citizen of the Year for 2011 by the March of Dimes. Sánchez speaks five languages, including French and Arabic, and he earned master’s degrees in international relations from the London School of Economics and in advanced European studies from the College of Europe.
