LOCAL festival, a free celebration of everything Alabama, on Saturday, June 15, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Spend an evening outdoors and enjoy live music, shopping and food at the sixth annualPresented by UAB’s Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, this year’s LOCAL festival will start at 5 p.m. outdoors on the center’s Engel Plaza. The entertainment includes performances by Ingrid Marie at 6 p.m., singer-songwriter Evan Pezant at 7 p.m. and headliner Act of Congress at 8 p.m.
Shop some of Alabama’s favorite eclectic artists and vendors while enjoying the live performances. Birmingham’s favorite local food trucks will be on-site when it is time for a bite to eat. A children’s activity area presented by ArtPlay will welcome kids and families. Kick off the summer season and be the Alys Stephens Center’s guests for this family-friendly event, perfect for everyone who loves to call Alabama home.
Food trucks will include City Bowls, Eugene’s Hot Chicken, Pazzo Big Slice Pizza, The Heavenly Donut Co. and more to come.
