Dr. Colin MartinThe Division of Pediatric Surgery’s Colin Martin, M.D., was recently awarded the American Surgical Association Foundation Fellowship Award. This award seeks to support and encourage gifted young surgeons who choose careers in investigation and academic surgery.

Martin was also recently elected to the Society of Black Academic Surgeons executive council as the member at large. This position consists of a three-year term on the SBAS executive council. The member at large is selected by the SBAS nominating committee and voted on by the general body. In addition to having a role on the executive council, Martin will also be the chair of the SBAS membership committee.
