The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery’s Sara Pereira, M.D., spoke to WBRC-TV this morning on Good Day Alabama to promote the 5K, which raises money to support local research and education programs for victims of heart disease and stroke—the No. 1 and No. 3 killers of Alabamians, respectively.
