UAB Division of Breast & Endocrine Surgery Clinical Assistant Professor Katelin Holmes, D.O., recently graduated from UAB Medicine’s LEading Advancing Developing (LEAD) program.
Through the program, Holmes worked with fellow associate professors to develop key leadership skills and build connections across UAB Medicine. She was the only representative from the UAB Department of Surgery in the program. Holmes is also a member of the 2023 cohort of the UAB Sharing Authentically to Inspire and Lead (SAIL) program.
Katelin Holmes is a fellowship trained, board-certified breast surgical oncologist who treats a full range of breast diseases and surgical problems—both cancer and benign.
She practices with the Infirmary Health UAB Alliance in Fairhope, Alabama, through a multidisciplinary approach for breast cancer treatment, and is a weekly participant with the Infirmary Health System Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Conference.
She is an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She serves on multiple national committees through the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
