This time, learn about the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at UAB, its newest fellow, Kimberly Ramonell, M.D., and its recently graduated fellow, Jessica Fazendin, M.D.

This year, the AAES Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at UAB welcomes Kimberly Ramonell, M.D., who recently completed her general surgery training in the Department of Surgery at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to residency, Ramonelle received her medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Goodbye:
Last year, the AAES Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at UAB welcomed Jessica Fazendin, M.D., who completed her general surgery training at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prior to residency, Fazendin received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For Fazendin, it will not be a “goodbye” as she has been named assistant professor in the UAB Department of Surgery, Division of Breast & Endocrine Surgery. Fazendin will also serve as director of the department’s Medical Student Surgery Clerkship.
