More than 1,200 interns, residents and fellows train in every medical specialty at UAB in Birmingham, at our regional campuses in Montgomery, Huntsville and Tuscaloosa, and in our program in Selma.
In an ongoing series, the Department of Surgery will feature incoming and outgoing trainees for all UAB Surgery programs. This time, learn about the UAB Colorectal Surgery Fellowship Program and its newest fellow, Edward Andrew Fazendin, M.D.
The UAB Colorectal Surgery Fellowship welcomes Edward Andrew Fazendin, M.D., who recently completed his general surgery training at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prior to residency, Fazendin received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Fazendin joins UAB alongside the program’s other colorectal surgery fellow Michael Hernon, M.D., as well as his wife, Jessica Fazendin, M.D., who also joined the Department of Surgery this year as the newest member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at UAB.
