L to R: Marsha Reid and Stephanie PerryAfter more than 23 years of service to the UAB Department of Pediatrics, Marsha Reid, director of Clinical Operations, will be retiring on May 31, 2022. 

Marsha has been instrumental to the success of our department, leading and mentoring administrative supervisors in all of our divisions. She is a trusted advisor and source of deep institutional knowledge for all of our faculty and staff, as well as a strong partner to the Children’s of Alabama administrative team. Her commitment and contributions to the department are significant, and she epitomizes what it means to be a true servant leader. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her the best for her well-deserved retirement.

We are pleased to announce that Stephanie Perry, practice manager for the Division of Academic General Pediatrics, will assume the role of director of Clinical Operations in May 2022. Stephanie is a seasoned healthcare professional who has served our department in a clinical management role since 2018. Prior to joining the department, Stephanie served as an administrative manager with the UAB Department of Psychiatry and has more than 14 years of experience with UAB. Stephanie obtained her Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2015. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Montevallo. Please help us welcome Stephanie to this new role.
