Ariel Salas, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Neonatology, is among three recipients of the 2021 Travel Award grant for Early Career Investigators from the International Pediatric Research Foundation (IPRF) and the journal, Pediatric Research.

This award was given to three authors of papers that appeared in Pediatric Research in the previous calendar year.

Dr. Salas is being honored for his paper "Serial assessment of fat and fat-free mass accretion in very preterm infants: a randomized trial".

This grant award will provide Dr. Salas with funds to attend either an upcoming Pediatric Academic Society meeting or the European Society for Paediatric Research meeting.
