L to R: Walt Johnson, Adarsh Kulkarni and Cam HebsonThe Division of Pediatric Cardiology recognized Adarsh Kulkarni, M.D., as the winner of the 2023 Walt “The Rock” Johnson Worthiness in Pediatric Cardiology Award. 

The award is given annually to the resident who finishes first in a yearlong contest based on cardiology knowledge and aptitude. The award also recognizes our senior partner, Dr. Johnson, for his excellence in teaching residents and medical students. Dr. Kulkarni will be starting a career in pediatric cardiology next year as a fellow at the University of Mississippi and we have no doubt this award heralds great things to come from him for years to come.
