The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Advocacy (IDEAA) Council is a resident driven space where people of ALL backgrounds are invited to understand, champion, and celebrate our differences.
We also support the wealth of our differences by taking an active role in resident recruitment in order to promote a more diverse program. We also have a mission to increase dialogue among residents, faculty, and administration about the social and cultural issues that penetrate our patients' lives as well as our own. Finally, our resident group participates in year-round learning geared towards developing pediatricians who are comfortable in their role as child advocates and work in collaboration with other resident organizations to develop programs and efforts that serve our patients both in and outside of our hospital. Our Resident IDEAA Council meets every 4th Thursday.
The Resident IDEAA co-chairs are Drs. Justin Bailey and Kelly Muterspaw.
