Stephen Obaro, M.D., Ph.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. He will be the Helen and Robert Whitley Chair pending board approval.

Stephen Obaro, M.D., Ph.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease, earned his medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria. Dr. Obaro earned Membership in the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MCRP) after graduating from the Royal College of Physicians of London, UK. He completed his PhD at Imperial College, University of London, UK. Dr. Obaro completed his residencies at Ahmadu Bello University, Westminster Children’s Hospital/Charing Cross Hospital, London/Hammersmith Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He completed his fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at the Rhode Island Hospital and his pediatric immunology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts.
