The Journal of ExtraCorporeal Technology (JECT) Technique Article Award is an annual award that is presented at the annual International Perfusion Conference to an American Society of ExtraCorporeal Technology (AmSECT) member who has published an exceptional Technique article in the Journal of ExtraCorporeal Technology.
The article titled, “Nitric Oxide on Extracorporeal Life Support-Circuit Modifications for a Safe Therapy,” was selected for the award this year that was presented at the AmSECT 61st International Conference over the weekend of March 24-26 in Orlando, FL.
Carlisle O’Meara CCP, FPP, Joseph Timpa CCP, FPP, Giles Peek M.D., Melissa Sindelar CCP, FPP, Jenny Ross RN, Justin Raper RRT, and Jonathan W. Byrnes, M.D., are authors on this paper. The collaboration of knowledge and experience from the physicians perfusionists, RNs, and RRTs has been invaluable in the growth of the Children’s of Alabama ECMO program. The benefits have extended far beyond the ECMO team and have proven to be beneficial in optimizing patient care for all those involved.
Congratulations to the team on this award!
