Pediatric Rheumatology Symposium (PRSYM) over the weekend of March 29-April 1 in New Orleans, LA. PRSYM is held every three-years.
The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) held theDuring this year’s symposium, Melissa Mannion, M.D., assistant professor, and Emily Smitherman, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, gave talks on pediatric rheumatology topics. Dr. Mannion gave a presentation titled, “Management of Refractory Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis,” and co-lead a roundtable and panel discussion on juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
Dr. Smitherman gave a presentation titled, “Contemporary Best Practices for Childhood-Onset Lupus.”
