Morissa Ladinsky, M.D., professor in the Division of Academic General Pediatrics, has been selected for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Committee on State Government Affairs. She will serve a six-year term beginning July 1, 2024.
The AAP National Committee on State Government Affairs coordinates all state legislative and regulatory issues affecting youth and recommends to the AAP Board optimal prioritization of these. This committee also assists state AAP chapters in development and execution of their legislative agendas as well as review of advocacy resources and relevant background materials.
“I look forward to translating insight gained through legislative, policy and judicial odysseys in Alabama to assist pediatricians strategically navigate agendas around the nation to change outcomes for youth everywhere,” said Dr. Ladinsky.
