David Kimberlin, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, has been appointed to the NIH Advisory Committee to the Deputy Director for Intramural Research (DDIR).

This advisory committee is a small group of experts from around the US who get together to advise the DDIR on matters related to the Intramural Research Program at the NIH.

“The NIH Intramural Program is sometimes less visible to academic researchers, but the science generated can have impacts on our extramurally funded activities,” said Dr. Kimberlin. “I am looking forward to contributing through this advisory committee to the important efforts of the Intramural Program.”
