Candice C. Dye, M.D., Department of Pediatrics' Associate Professor in the Division of Academic General Pediatrics, graduated from the UAB Healthcare Leadership Academy (HLA).

HLA is a collaboration between the Collat School of Business and the Heersink School of Medicine. "The UAB Healthcare Leadership Academy (HLA) was founded on the premise that the future of academic health systems will be led and managed by clinicians and executives who operate at the frontiers of medicine and possess the leadership skills required to guide their organization into an increasingly complex future."

HLA is designed as a cohesive and comprehensive program that helps to identify and strengthen leadership skills and capabilities. Dye was one of 30 graduates in the HLA Class of 2024 who completed approximately 80 hours of classroom coursework as well as developed a group project and individual professional plans.
