Nefertiti Harmon Durant, M.D., MPH, associate professor in the Division of Adolescent Medicine, has been named co-chair of the Education & Advocacy Subcommittee for the Women & Girls Bleeding Disorder Learning Action Network (WGBD LAN) of the Foundation for Women & Girls with Blood Disorders.
Dr. Durant will co-chair this subcommittee with Tricia Huguelet, M.D., associate professor and section chief of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at the University of Colorado, for a two-year appointment. The Education & Advocacy Subcommittee is focused on the exchange of ideas, data, and expertise on education and advocacy at women & girls with bleeding disorders (WGBD) clinics and hemophilia treatment centers (HTCs) that serve women and/or girls with blood disorders to optimize the health of female patients with blood disorders throughout their lifespan.
