Randy Cron, M.D., Ph.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, was recently appointed to a six-year appointment to the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Subboard of Pediatric Rheumatology.

Dr. Cron’s work will consist of generating questions covering all topic areas relevant to the certification examination in pediatric rheumatology. Additionally, he will join a core set of colleagues in the field of pediatric rheumatology to collaboratively establish the basis of probing the knowledge of pediatric rheumatologists seeking to become board certified or those that are updating ABP Pediatric Rheumatology board certification.

“It is an honor to be chosen to participate in this worthwhile endeavor, and I look forward to working closely with my fellow pediatric rheumatology colleagues on this work over the next six years,” said Dr. Cron.
