Samantha Hill, M.D., MPH, assistant professor in the Division of Adolescent Medicine, was awarded the NIH funded R01 diversity supplement, “Effectiveness of a Smoking Cessation Algorithm Integrated into HIV Primary Care.” This diversity supplement will provide her training and experience in the area of co-use of cannabis and tobacco.
In particular, this supplement will examine smoking cessation among 18 to 24-year-old smokers living with HIV who co-use cannabis. It will use formative methods to determine how to best deliver tobacco interventions to people living with HIV who co-use cannabis and tobacco. For more information, please see the abstract in NIH Reporter.
Congratulations Dr. Hill!
