Sarah Bingham, M.D.
Sarah Bingham, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, earned her medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Bingham completed her pediatric residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, NH and her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Her clinical interests include pediatric trauma, medical simulation, community outreach and her research interests include pediatric trauma, quality improvement.
JaneMarie Freeman, M.D.
JaneMarie Freeman, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology, earned her medical degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. Dr. Freeman completed her combined internal medicine/pediatrics residency and allergy & immunology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL. Her clinical interests/major research include: drug allergy, food allergy, and pediatric immune deficiencies.
Jaycelyn Holland, M.D.
Jaycelyn Holland, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. Dr. Holland completed her pediatric residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She additionally completed a Certificate in Medical Education at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. Her clinical interests/major research include: simulation and medical education.
Jesseca Paulsen, M.D.
Jesseca Paulsen, M.D., instructor in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, earned her medical degree from the Heersink School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Paulsen completed her pediatric residency at UAB. Her clinical interests/major research include pediatric sepsis and medical education.
Spencer Poore, M.D., MSCS
Spencer Poore, M.D., MSCS, assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine, earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. Dr. Poore completed his pediatric residency the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL and his pediatric pulmonology fellowship at the University of Colorado in Aurora, CO. He additionally completed his Master of Science in Clinical Science at the University of Colorado. His clinical interests include CF, PCD, bronchiectasis and his research interests include fungal infection and airway inflammation in cystic fibrosis.
Henry Shiau, M.D.
Henry Shiau, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Dr. Shiau completed his pediatric residency and pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He additionally completed his advanced fellowship in pediatric transplant hepatology at Baylor College of Medicine. His clinical /major research interests include: Analysis of the natural history and disease course progression of children with Biliary Atresia status-post Kasai hepatoportoenterostomy, the development of rigorous research definitions for clinical manifestations of pediatric chronic liver diseases, quality assessment of the clinical diagnosis and treatment of cholangitis in children, and investigating the clinical impact of infectious complications pre-transplant in Biliary Atresia.
