We are thrilled to announce the selection of our 2024 Children’s of Alabama Scholars: Chibuzo Ilonze, M.D., MPH, assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and Jessica Schmitt, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. 

These outstanding faculty members exemplify dedication to improving pediatric health. Each scholar will receive $12,500 per year for two years to advance their academic or scholarly endeavors in service, teaching, and/or research.
