The Clinical Informatics Journal Club will discuss cutting-edge research in clinical informatics, including (but not limited to) clinical information systems, electronic health records, decision support systems, and medical expert systems. The objective is to understand that informatics is not only a field of solutions to be applied to biomedical problems, but also a hypothesis-driven endeavor in its own right.
Each week, two participants will discuss papers of their choosing (with the approval of the Director) to summarize the work, place them in their historical context, and compare and contrast them to similar work. All participants will critique the science and implications of the papers.
