Spring Party 2018

Our residency program hosts several annual social gatherings to celebrate our sucesses, build teamwork, and cultivate lifelong friendships.

Camp Dismukes: This annual retreat for all of the residents and their families is held at beautiful Oak Mountain State Park. The entire program is provided coverage to be able to enjoy food, fun, kickball, tug-of-war, and touch football.

Chili Cook-Off: Every winter our residents take a break from the cold and warm up with bowls of homemade chili and dessert. The event features a resident chili and dessert competition and is held at one of the local Birmingham breweries.

Crawfish Boil: An annual tradition where our residents come together at a favorite attending’s home and enjoy yard games, good company and, of course, tons and tons of crawfish.

Legacy Dinner: A very special evening for all rising third year residents to celebrate the legacy of the Tinsley Harrison Residency Program. Third year residents are given coverage to go to a beloved attending's home for dinner and to hear stories from some of the great physicians of UAB.

Spring Party: This is our annual formal event to celebrate the year and especially our graduating seniors. The entire program is given coverage to attend this formal sit-down dinner accompanied by hilarious skits and awards honoring our residents and faculty.
