Mission

In the UAB Montgomery Psychiatry Residency Program, our mission to leverage the deep cultural history, strong community support and world class institutional resources of Central Alabama’s River Region to train patient-centered physicians dedicated to the thoughtful, humanistic and expert provision of care to all patients with whom they have the privilege of working.

Through the thoughtful development and implementation of a training program, guided first and always by humanistic values, it is our vision that our trainees will serve our community and similarly situated communities, with skill and compassion, to the benefit of all people.
