UAB collaborates with partners in Sri Lanka to mobilize communities to implement and scale-up cervical cancer prevention and control initiatives.

The Rotary Clubs of Birmingham and Colombo, UAB, and the Sri Lankan Ministry of Health are working together toward the elimination of cervical cancer as a public health problem in Sri Lanka. This collaborative effort presents an opportunity to integrate evidence-based approaches to promote HPV vaccination, cervical cancer screening with primary HPV testing, and adherence to follow-up in the event of cervical cancer screening with abnormal results.
