Patient Satisfaction Scores

UAB Medicine is celebrating 47 primary care providers for their exceptional patient care this past fiscal year. Based on patient feedback collected from Medallia, a third-party experience management platform, these individuals scored an average of 95 percent or higher (n ≥ 30) in care satisfaction.

47 Providers List

Medallia used the following metrics to determine care satisfaction:

1. Listened carefully
2. Demonstrated care and concern
3. Provided clear explanations
4. Included patient in health care decisions
5. Overall Care Rating 0 -10

In conjunction with leaders from the Office of Patient Experience & Engagement, Department of Family and Community Medicine and Primary Care Service Line leaders want to thank these providers and their care teams for their service, sacrifice, and commitment to patients, and for inspiring us all in embracing the challenges of an ever-changing healthcare environment with a patient-centered focus.

Director of the Primary Care Service Line and Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Irfan Asif, says these ratings are a testament to the work faculty and staff do daily to further the mission of the primary care service line.

“The mission is to improve the health and well-being of our community through health care that is patient-centered,” said Asif. “That starts with building relationships with our patients and making them feel comfortable, welcome and heard. I am pleased to see so many of our providers and each of our primary care clinics recognized for their exceptional level of patient care.”
