GATE 2024 Workshop - Gross Dissection of the Head and Neck for Teacher Education

The UAB Department of Cell, Developmental and Integrative Biology (CDIB), in conjunction with the UAB Department of Medical Education, held the GATE professional development course in human gross anatomy in June 2024. The 2024 GATE 4-day course included lectures and complete dissection of the head and neck region, clinical applications and hands-on ultrasound. Attendees were high school, community college, and university faculty from Alabama, Pennsylvania, Florida, Canada, and other states.

GATE 2023 Workshop - Gross Dissection of the Lower Limb for Teacher Education

The UAB Department of Cell, Developmental and Integrative Biology (CDIB), in conjunction with the UAB Department of Medical Education, held the GATE professional development course in human gross anatomy in June 2023. The 2023 GATE 3-day course included lectures and complete dissection of the lower limb, clinical application and hands-on ultrasound. Attendees were high school, community college, and university faculty from Alabama, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and other states.

GATE 2018 Workshop - Gross Dissection of the Thorax & Abdomen for Teacher Education

L:\UAB Education\GATE\GATE Logo.jpgThe UAB Department of Cell, Developmental and Integrative Biology (CDIB), in conjunction with the UAB Department of Medical Education, held the GATE professional development course in human gross anatomy in July 2018. The 2018 GATE 3-day course included lectures and complete dissection of the thorax and abdomen. Although most attendees came from Alabama, others came as far away as Washington, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Nebraska.
