Professor of Biostatistics, School of Public Health, and Director of the Lister Hill Center for Health Policy
"I went to Bordeaux, France to study with leading dementia epidemiologists at an ISPED (French NIH) funded lab at the Universite de Bordeaux. My project focused on the intersection of neighborhood deprivation and diet as they related to incident dementia and stroke. Living in Bordeaux was transformative for me, my son who completed 4th grade in France, and my husband who studied French at an immersion school while there. Being a Fulbright Scholar has grown my network dramatically and launched my research into areas I never would have considered before going."
