All of the courses in the CECM program have real world relevance.

I have enjoyed my group parings with many of my classmates. I have learned a great deal that will aid my (construction) journey for years to come. I am confident that CEM may be my best career decision.

The CEM program has provided great project management skills and construction knowledge, as I plan my transition from military to civilian life after graduation.

The curriculum is what lead me to choose the UAB CEM program. I was relatively new to the construction industry and felt like an imposter. The very valuable knowledge gained from the classes and from my groupmates have built my confidence.

I selected UAB over other universities because the CEM program is prestigious, very well-known, and has a more affordable cost. Also, looking at the numbers, the CEM program was ranked much better, and the courses lined up neck-to-neck. My studies at UAB have given me a better understanding of construction, increased my confidence, and helped me improve in my career. The CEM program was an important and rewarding experience.

All of the classes are absolutely amazing. Even though they are construction management oriented, they truly apply to other fields like design, architecture, engineering, and landscape architecture. I am very grateful for the CEM program and super excited about the future.

The UAB CEM program has taught me to be a proud woman in construction while working in a male dominated field. Absorbing and applying the knowledge gained within the CEM Program has led me to experience an abnormal acceleration and promotion within my company.

I learned that to be competitive in this industry you must obtain degrees and certifications. The CEM degree program was incredible. It is like they took a knife and said we are going to cut out every bit of the fat and only keep what is absolutely practical. It was worth every bit of money that I put into it.

I got exactly what I thought I would from the program and then some. Like my military background, CEM is about discipline, learning, and work ethic, which forced me to be diligent and non-complacent. I am very excited about my future and career opportunities.

The CEM classes are well structured, highly informative, and the instructors are of high caliper. The CEM program administration has been simply amazing because they are so helpful and very responsive.

The CEM program is exemplar in terms of providing relevant construction industry knowledge and flexibility. Because of this program, my experience, and recently expanded duties, I have risen to a senior vice president on a leadership team with a large design-build firm.

I cannot express how rewarding, yet challenging, the UAB CEM master's program actually is. It has given me the necessary skills to continue to evolve into a progressive forward-thinking project manager and has opened doors for advancement within my organization.

Leaving the military and preparing to return to the civilian construction industry after almost eleven years, I knew that I would need to retool my construction knowledge to be competitive for employment. The CEM program offered the online flexibility that I needed, and it covered the current relevant course material. I now have new tools and resources to help face the challenges required in the construction industry.

After building houses for several years, I recently applied for a position as an assistant project manager in the commercial construction industry. Without the challenges that the CEM program has given me, I do not feel that I would be prepared for this role. I feel that this degree helps jump start us late bloomers back to the front of the crowd. I joined the CEM program to enhance my personal and professional development, and to assume a greater responsibility in my current field. I looked at similar programs from other colleges, but after doing a comparison I decided that the UAB program would better suite me.

An older superintendent told me to never stop learning if I wanted to advance in the construction industry. I had years of construction field knowledge, but I did not have much business or office experience. The CEM classes have been fantastic, expanded my knowledge, and also helped me build some outstanding professional contacts and relationships.

I knew that earning a master's degree would make me more valuable for my company and within the construction industry.

One of the biggest consideration that I had before joining the CEM program was the time and money. I can assure you, for me, this is money and time well spent, and the knowledge gained will continue to pay dividends for the rest of my life.

Because of the classes in the CEM program, I have gained a greater confidence in the work that I do every day. My supervisor would agree, because some of the younger folks in our company are starting the CEM program right now. The results coming out of the program speak for themselves and it is something that they believe in. My advancement in the company would not have been possible without this degree.
