What: A foundational research orientation that combines self-paced online modules with a required interactive live session. Participants complete coursework covering human subjects research, Good Clinical Practice, and essential processes for implementing sponsored and investigator-initiated studies, followed by an exam and live session to complete the program.
Why: To provide participants with basic tools, familiarize them with key research study concepts and processes, and help those new to research avoid common pitfalls.
Who: Designed for investigators and research staff who are new to research, as well as those seeking a refresher on key aspects of conducting a clinical research study. The CCTS strongly encourages new faculty, coordinators, budget staff, and regulatory staff to participate.
Where: Online. Participants begin with self-paced online coursework and complete the program by attending a required interactive live session.
When: Start anytime. Self-paced coursework may be completed on your schedule. After completing the required modules and exam, participants must attend one of the scheduled live sessions to complete the course and receive a certificate of completion. See upcoming live session dates below.
