The CCTS presents ExpeDITIons, a monthly forum to engage in discussion about how effective interventions, new clinical paradigms, and policy changes are communicated and integrated into clinical, community, and public health practices. This series provides training opportunities, showcases exciting research, and provides a collaborative environment for attendees across the CCTS Partner Network, with a focus on advancing the science to deliver discoveries more efficiently to routine care settings. Join us for the April CCTS ExpeDITIons Forum, a monthly series exploring how effective interventions, clinical approaches, and policy innovations are translated into practice across clinical, community, and public health settings. This session, “Use of RE-AIM / PRISM,” continues the discussion of these widely used implementation science frameworks by highlighting real-world research applications that demonstrate how RE-AIM and PRISM can guide study design, evaluation, and implementation.

Presentations include:

  • Courtney E. Gamston, ScM, PharmD, BCPS (Auburn University) | “From Design to Delivery: Evaluating a Transitions of Care Service Using RE-AIM”
  • Amanda Staiano, PhD (Pennington Biomedical Research Center) | “TEAM UP: A randomized, pragmatic, comparative effectiveness trial of child obesity treatment in primary care”

Join us for another dynamic discussion on advancing implementation science.

Introducing Veterinary Careers to Elementary School Children

Tuesday,  May 19, 2026; 12-1 PM (CT) via Zoom - Register Now!

Join us for the May CCTS ExpeDITIons Forum, part of a monthly series highlighting how dissemination and implementation science is applied across clinical, community, and public health settings. This session will explore implementation strategies in pediatric and childhood populations through the VetaHumanz initiative.

Dr. Athema Etzioni, from Tuskegee University, will share how this innovative, community-engaged program introduces young learners to veterinary careers while promoting health literacy and expanding pathways into the profession. Attendees will gain insight into how creative, role model–driven approaches can support early engagement and broaden participation in the health workforce.

Join us to explore how implementation science can expand opportunity and impact across pediatric and community populations.
