State-of-the-art cyberinfrastructure is essential to support modern scientific research and industrial innovation. Our faculty and students are leading the development of such technologies including secure Internet of Things; reliable, secure, and scalable cloud-based storage systems; programming environments to support heterogeneous architectures; and middleware and runtime systems for exascale systems.
These systems are used to support a diverse set of multidisciplinary applications ranging from next generation sequence analysis to real time cyber security analytics.
In addition to these advanced cyberinfrastructures, we also host traditional parallel and distributed systems based on commodity hardware and open source software components to support high performance computing research in the areas of software refactoring, source-to-source program transformation, and parallel program synthesis.
