A significant part of the mission of patient vision care and treatment is community outreach. At UAB there are extensive vision outreach efforts being conducted by the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and the Department of Optometry. The VSRC has played a direct role in supporting some of the many outreach programs and will continue to provide some level of support for these important outreach programs. As a service to the vision care patient we have assembled a series of webpages that lists and describes all of the vision outreach activities currently ongoing at UAB.
