5 UAB Sustainability Food and Dining Initiatives, including replacing 250,000 plastic straws in 2 1/2 months
This past Fall, most UAB Dining Services vendors replaced their plastic straws with eco-friendly products, while also encouraging students to reduce their use of straws. According to a UAB survey, in the first two and half months, over 250,000 plastic straws were replaced. -
Campus Dining announces Chick-fil-A coming in 2024
Chick-fil-A, the renowned fast-food chain specializing in chicken-based menu items, is scheduled to debut at the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Hill Student Center in spring 2024.

The UAB student organization Donor to Diner, along with UAB Campus Restaurants, will host its second meal donation event at the Commons on the Green. Donor to Diner allows students to donate a meal to benefit fellow Blazers facing food insecurity.
