SBS comprises a research-oriented faculty offering traditional and innovative programs that examine the diversity of human behavior in its social and historical context. Academic programs lead to baccalaureate, master’s and/or doctoral degrees in areas of anthropology, history, justice sciences, government, psychology, social work, and sociology. Tennant McWilliams, Ph.D., dean of SBS since 1990, announced in January he would step down this summer from that position and return to the faculty.
