National Collegiate Athletic Association rules governing the recruitment of prospective student-athletes are quite complicated, but one rule is clear: The NCAA prohibits faculty and staff members from having recruiting contact with prospective student-athletes off campus.
The faculty and staff may conduct academic interviews and other normal duties of their position as long as these activities occur on the campus of UAB.
