Registration is open for UAB’s Leading at all Levels, a leadership-development program for all employees — from seasoned professionals to those aspiring to greater responsibility — with two cohorts this fall. The first begins Aug. 7, with additional sessions scheduled Sept. 25 and Oct. 23. The second begins Sept. 11, with sessions Oct. 9 and Nov. 13.
The three-part series focuses on leadership essentials including self-awareness, leadership expectations and communication skills for leaders, and it offers participants the opportunity to form relationships with colleagues across UAB. Sessions are held noon-1:30 p.m. in Medical Towers, and participants must attend all sessions to receive credit for the series.
Organizational Development Specialist William Edwards says participants have reported feeling better equipped to lead as a result of their experience in the program. “Specifically, participants describe seeing improvements in their ability to lead in their current position, develop themselves for future career growth, lead and communicate with others,” he said.
