Erik Roberson, M.D., Ph.D., and Andrew West, Ph.D., have been named co-directors of UAB's Center for Neurodegeneration and Experimental Therapeutics, which promotes the discovery, development and clinical application of novel treatments for these disorders

Professor Arline Savage, Ph.D., has been appointed chair of the Department of Accounting and Finance in the Collat School of Business. Savage, who directs the Master of Accounting program, will begin her duties in August. “Accounting is the third largest undergraduate program at UAB, and we have a strong tradition of producing exceptional accounting and finance students.
