Get a jump on your spring cleaning and support the Commission on the Status of Women by donating work-appropriate attire for women during the 13th annual Suits 4 Success clothing drive March 5-9.
Suits 4 Success will accept donations between 7-10 a.m. each day at the lower level entrance to the Alys Stephens Center. Donation boxes will be placed in additional locations throughout campus to accept donations. Acceptable items include work-appropriate attire such as clean suits, jackets, skirts, casual pants, shirts, formal and casual dresses, plus accessories such as shoes, handbags and jewelry.
The CSW works to ensure UAB serves the needs of women faculty, staff and students by examining and advocating for inclusiveness and equitable opportunities for all. Its longest-running project is this longstanding partnership with My Sister’s Closet, an outreach program of the YWCA, to provide clothes for women interviewing for or holding jobs.
