A panel of representatives from area organizations will discuss challenges faced by the groups they serve, strategies to address those challenges and ways to promote collaboration and hope during a forum hosted by UAB Institute for Human Rights 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in Campbell Hall Room 405.
The program, “Stand as One: Empowering Marginalized Voices in Birmingham," is a free public event. All are welcome.
Organizations represented by the panel include Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice, Birmingham Islamic Society, Disability Rights & Resources, Greater Birmingham Ministries, Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama, Magic City Acceptance Center and the Birmingham chapters of Black Lives Matter and National Organization of Women.
