UAB Center for Exercise Medicine will hold its annual symposium highlighting research and training 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept 25 in Children's Harbor Bradley Lecture Center.
David A. Hood, professor and Canada Research Chair in Cell Physiology, York University, Toronto, will be the keynote speaker.
The UAB Center for Exercise Medicine is sponsoring a trainee poster session highlighting the research of undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral trainees including clinical fellows and residents. Trainees are invited to submit abstracts on basic, clinical, translational and population science that are broadly related to exercise medicine. Abstracts are being accepted through Aug. 21. Principal authors of the top three posters will receive a $500 travel award.
