BrainREAD: A Reading Comprehension Trial for Children Who Can Read but Struggle to Remember

Is your child a capable reader? Do they struggle to remember/understand the things they've read?

The BrainREAD study is recruiting children (ages 7-13) in three different groups:

1. Children diagnosed with autism who struggle with reading comprehension
2. Children NOT diagnosed with autism who struggle with reading comprehension
3. Children NOT diagnosed with autism who do NOT struggle with reading

This study includes a FREE reading comprehension intervention through Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes (for children in groups 1 & 2), which can be completed online or in-person. Participation (for all groups) involves a pre and post session which are broken up into two days each. Day 1 consists of paper and pencil evaluations and Day 2 consists of an MRI scan. Participants can be compensated up to $250 total for completing both of the 2-day testing sessions.
