Employees have multiple transportation options to Legion Field this football season, including a free public shuttle from campus, free bike parking and options to pre-purchase season or single-game parking permits to snag a guaranteed spot near Legion Field.
Whether you’re driving, riding or biking, BlazerGameday.com has all the maps and information necessary to make gameday transportation as easy as cheering for a Blazer win.
Ride the free public UAB shuttle.
Employees can park and ride for free from the UAB campus Express Lot 4 at Fifth Avenue South and 10th Street. Pickup is at the bus shelter inside Express Lot 4; it will begin four hours prior to kickoff and run continuously throughout the game. Free UAB shuttles for students pick up on the west side of the Hill Student Center. The buses will drop off at Legion Field on the east side of the stadium in the bus circle. Return rides will run until one hour after the game concludes.

Depending on traffic, buses will run approximately every 10-15 minutes and seating is first-come, first-served.
Take your bike and park for free.
Avoid car traffic by riding your bicycle to Legion Field and park it with the local non-profit bicycle shop Redemptive Cycles, which will be operating a parking area on the south side of the stadium facing Graymont Avenue.
When preparing your bike for the ride, don’t forget to use the self-service bike repair station on the Campus Green outside the Commons for minor repairs and tire inflation or drop your bike off at the Blazer Bike Shop in the Campus Recreation Center Chain installations cost around $10, and tube or tire installations cost about $6, with thorough tune-ups running about $30.
Blazer Bike Shop mechanics have been trained by Redemptive Cycles; if the shop can’t fix the issue, employees and students can schedule a drop-off time with Adventure Recreation, and Redemptive Cycles will pick the bike up and make the repairs.
Buy a single-game or season parking pass.
Season ticket-holders can purchase season parking for $48 and tailgating passes for $95. Tailgate spots sold out in the 2017 and 2018 seasons; only a limited number remain for 2019.
Employees who pre-purchase a single-game parking pass can guarantee themselves a parking spot right next to Legion Field. Employees can also purchase single-game parking passes day-of for $8 — while supplies last. Public parking lots will open four hours prior to kick-off.

Stay apprised of Birmingham road construction.
Don’t let road construction slow down your Saturday. Check with the Alabama Department of Transportation for updates on regular road projects and the 59/20 bridge project, which also has its own Facebook page.
Take a Lyft or Uber.
Employees can download the Lyft app, available in both the App Store or Google Play Store, or the Uber app, which also works on both iOS and Android, to their smartphones and request a ride from a nearby driver. Riders who take trips together can split fares for a cost-saving option.
