At the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a diploma is a student's certificate of accomplishment. UAB issues only one diploma to each graduate at the time of graduation, which is mailed approximately 6 to 8 weeks after the degree is conferred. You must be in good financial standing with the University and have no holds on your account in order to receive your diploma.
Please note that your original UAB-issued diploma lists your degree earned (Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, etc.). Your academic transcript lists your full program of study including any majors, minors, concentrations and certificates earned.
