BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Global and Community Leadership (GCL) Honors Program has accepted 35 new students for the 2010-2011 academic year.

The UAB GCL Honors Program is designed to give students a deeper understanding of global and community issues. Through specialized courses, service-learning and other activities, students investigate and analyze common concerns faced by societies around the world and prepare for leadership roles that can address those issues.
