BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB First Thursday Lecture Series will present "Iran Today" by Mimi and Beverly P. Head at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at the UAB Spencer Honors House, 1190 10th Ave. S. For years the Heads have studied Iranian history and culture. Mimi Head was born and raised in Tehran. She came to the United States for college and remained. Today she is president of Ram Tool and Supply Co. Beverly Head lived in Iran from 1967 to 1970 while in the U.S. Army. Head is chairman of Giles & Kendall Inc.

The UAB First Thursday Lecture Series offers college students and the Birmingham community an opportunity to meet and learn from active scholars, leaders, researchers and artists. The series is sponsored by the UAB University Honors Program.
