Amy Warriner M.D., is an endocrinologist and the Program Director for UAB's Endocrinology Fellowship Program. In addition, she serves as the clinic director for UAB’s Weight Loss Medicine clinic and for the Osteoporosis Prevention and Treatment Clinic. In these roles, Dr. Warriner has witnessed the fields of Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine change since the first GLP medication was created in the early 2000's. Her research has included understanding the effects of these medications on bone metabolism and real-world health outcomes in people treated with GLP medications.
