The UAB Collat School of Business has received a $100,000 endowment gift from Sanjay K. Singh, Ph.D., and his wife Dora Eugenia Pineda-Rivera.
The Dora and Sanjay Singh Endowed Research Fund will support faculty research, student scholarships and student activities within the Information Systems program in the Department of Management, Information Systems and Quantitative Methods. Singh is an associate professor of information systems, teaching primarily in the Master of Business Administration program, and is the vice president of business development at Birmingham's Computer Technology Solutions (CTS).
"The Collat School of Business is grateful to Sanjay for his dedication to the school through his service as an excellent teacher-scholar and with his gift to our information systems program. It is a great vote of confidence when a faculty member makes a substantial commitment to the future of the school," says Dean David R. Klock, Ph.D.
The school is seeking additional gifts for the endowment. Former students and friends are welcome to submit contributions, which could lead to the endowment supporting a professorship or chair.
