University of Alabama at Birmingham J. Frank Barefield, Jr. Department of Criminal Justice in the College of Arts and Sciences have received awards at the annual meeting of the Southern Criminal Justice Association.
Two students in theTer’Ricka Brundidge received the Tom Barker Outstanding Undergraduate Award, the highest honor given by the organization for undergraduate students.
Curdajah Bonner won first place in the student poster competition, beating out 15 other students.
“It was exciting to see our students honored by the largest regional organization in our field,” said Kent Kerley, Ph.D., professor and chair of the J. Frank Barefield, Jr. Department of Criminal Justice. “I am super proud of Curdajah and Ter’Ricka.”
